Extra Large Panko

Extra large panko is popular in American-style restaurants on onion rings, vegetables, and poultry. Great size when you are looking for a big plate presentation “wow factor”. Non-GMO, Trans Fat Free and also available in All Natural.

Large Panko

Large size panko is our most popular Panko grind size. It is the most universal size and used by all types of restaurants. Non-GMO, Trans Fat Free, vegan, kosher and Halal certified.

Medium Panko

Medium Panko is used for crab cakes, as a mix in for meatballs, as stuffing filler in Ravioli, or as a final coating when a more delicate look is required. Non-GMO, Trans Fat Free and also available in All Natural.

Fine Panko

Fine Panko is used to replace standard American or Italian style breadcrumbs—the difference is Upper Crust Enterprises fine grind Authentic Japanese Panko will deliver a better crispy texture and will not clump. It is also great as a mix in for sausages, meatloaf, or as a coating for small delicate products like thin cut onion rings or croquettes. Non-GMO, Trans Fat Free and also available in All Natural.

Panko can be used in many menu applications, fried or baked

Fried Panko Shrimp on Skewer

For best results –

Dust the food or vegetable in DRY Upper Crust Tempura Batter mix and shake off excess.
Dip in prepared Tempura Batter made with water or other liquid such as beer, club soda, etc.
Generously roll in Upper Crust Enterprises Panko breadcrumbs. The coated product can be pre-staged and prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
Deep fry in hot oil - 350° until done.

For a lighter, healthier flavor, bake the coated product in a 350° oven. When baking drizzle a small amount of oil on top prior to baking, this will provide a golden brown color to the baked Panko.

Panko Topped Mac & Cheese

To use Japanese bread crumbs as a crispy top crusting for fish, just lightly mix Panko with olive oil or melted butter, Parmesan cheese, lemon pepper, and garlic, until it’s texture is like wet sand. Gently press seasoned Panko mixture on top of salmon or halibut and bake at 350º until done. The result is a crispy-top crusted fish that was easy and customer pleasing.

To make a salad topping, sauté Panko in oil or butter until brown and toasted, add parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and black pepper. Set aside and use as needed to add crispiness to salads, pasta or vegetables.
